Indigenous Ministerial Arrangements Regulations (IMARs)

Sections 77 and 78 of the Canadian Energy Regulator Act (CERA) provide the authority to develop the proposed Indigenous Ministerial Arrangements Regulations. If developed, the regulations provide the possibility of having ministerial arrangements between the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Indigenous governing bodies to exercise certain powers, duties or functions with respect to matters regulated under the CERA.
